Mexican Wedding Cookies

Yields 7 dozen

1 cup butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
powdered sugar for rolling

Blend butter, salt, sugar, and vanilla.

Add flour and nuts. Mix thoroughly.

Roll dough into 1 inch ball. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 325 for about 25 minutes. Remove from oven. While cookies are hot, roll in sugar. Allow cookies to cool.
